What Products Actually Give You Better Brows, Lashes and Lips?

I'm always curious when it comes to  beauty products that promise to enhance natural features. I mean, who doesn't want full brows, voluminous long lashes and plump lips? The answer is nobody. Luckily for you (and me), I found four game changing products that actually deliver the results that they promise to. These game changers include a brow and lash enhancer, semi-permanent lip plumper, and the most nourishing lip balm I've ever used. Although it did take time to see results from all of these products, it was totally worth the wait. Unfortunately, I started using these products before I knew I'd be writing about them so I don't have any ground breaking before and after photos to show you, however, my results are very noticeable. With that said, let me introduce you to your potential new beauty obsession(s).

BrowFood Eyebrow Enhancer

Full and shapely brows have arguably become one of the most coveted and sought after beauty trends of all time, so much so that it even got it's own catchphrase: "fleeky." It's important to note that I personally no longer use this term, but it was on my vocab list for a hot minute. If you're like me and aren't the proud owner of Cara Delevingne-esque brows, fear not. Sure you can always turn to your trusty eyebrow pencil (or in my case ABH's DipBrow Pomade) to give you the fuller eyebrows you so desire, but that gets old when you come to the realization that with the single swipe of a makeup wipe, your eyebrows are removable. I stumbled across the BrowFood Eyebrow Enhancer when I was sifting through a random bag of products that my boss, Lara, had received. Since she was blessed with naturally full brows, she urged me to take it when I asked if I could try it out. Fast forward two months and I'm so glad that I did.

BrowFood is a phyto-medic Eyebrow Enhancing serum and an extension of the LashFood brand. BrowFood promises to help restore brows, minimize hair loss, and trigger natural hair growth through their proprietary blend of organic ingredients in as little as 4 weeks. The serum contains phyto-medic complex, which consists of revolutionary medicinal herb extracts that promote growth and prevent hair loss. BrowFood is also paraben-free as well as dermatologist tested and approved. Nightly application is suggested and consists of simply sweeping the applicator over clean eyebrows. BrowFood claims that you'll start to see results in about 4 weeks, and I must concur. My overall brow fullness has literally TRIPLED and I can visibly spot small baby hairs sprouting towards the front of my eyebrows (which is where I primarily wanted more growth). My brows also became darker in color, which results in a naturally fuller look. I really can't say enough positive things about this product, it delivers in everything area it promises to.

BrowFood will cost you around $90 and is available for purchase on their website or Sephora.com.

Rapidlash Eyelash Enhancing Serum

Okay kids, gather round because I'm going to tell you the traumatic story of how I lost almost ALL of my natural eyelashes. It all started at the Benefit Brow and Lash bar, where I was convinced to get glue-on individual eyelash extensions. How did they look? Amazing. When did they start to fall off? A week later. Annoyed with the gradual fallout, I decided to take matters into my own hands and remove the rest of the false lashes myself. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE IDEA. I did manage to get the rest of the lashes off, but they took my real lashes with them, leaving me with puffy, swollen, and virtually hairless eyelids. Take it from me- you never want to see yourself without eyelashes. Between fits of hysterics, I managed to do some research about regrowing eyelashes (FYI: turns out you need a legit prescription for Latisse, wtf) which led me to the discovery of Rapidlash. Armed with a pair of sunglasses and my debit card, I hauled ass to my local Ulta and bought it within minutes.

Rapidlash's award winning serum has been clinically proven to enhance and boost the growth of your lashes. Opthamologist and dermatologist tested this product is totally safe for contact lense wearers and is free of parabens as well. So how does it work? Rapidlash is formulated with polypeptides to protect against breakage, biotin/vitamin H for growth, Panthenol for nourishment, and Amino Acids to boost lash protein structure. Use nightly after removing all eye makeup by simply sliding the wand across your lashline.

Okay, back to me. I dutifully/borderline obsessively applied my Rapidlash nightly and luckily, in about a month, saw signs of regrowth. Fast forward a year and I have regained most, if not all of my natural lashes. I still use this product because my new natural lashes aren't as strong as they once were (damn you Benefit Brow Bar). The one positive thing that came out of this incident is that I became an absolute pro at applying strip lashes, which saved my life while I waited for my lashes to grow back. All in all, Rapidlash does work and I recommend it to anyone who wants to  improve the overall health and appearance of their eyelashes.

You can purchase Rapidlash for $49.95 at Ulta, Target, Wal-Mart and other retailers as well as on their website.

Fillerina Lip Plump Treatment

So I have to give credit to my mom for finding this product, as she gave it to me this past Christmas after I jokingly (okay I was serious) suggested a vial of Juvederm as a gift idea. Let's be honest- who doesn't want plumper lips? If needles (or the price tag of lip injections) freak you out, Fillerina's lip plumping treatment is for you. Packed with 6 powerful hyaluronic acid molecules, this rollerball gel promotes the increase of lip volume as well as filling in fine lines and wrinkles.

You'll feel a slight and not totally unpleasant tingle upon initial application, which Fillerina recommends you do up to 5 times a day for best results. That being said, I apply mine in the morning and at night because honestly who has the time to remember to apply a lip product at 5 separate occasions in one day?! Not me, and guess what? I still saw results. I will admit, it does take some time to see a noticeable difference in your lips. I started using Fillerina in late December and really started noticing results about 2 months later. Disclaimer: I literally had NO upper lip, especially when I smiled. I now boast a considerably larger upper AND bottom lip, to the point where even my close friends and some family members noticed the change. The bottom line is this: if you want natural looking plumper lips, this product does work.

Fillerina's Lip Plump Treatment is available in three different grades: 1, 2, and 3. I recommend grade 3 for best results. Results last up to 3-4 months so this is not permanent (but neither are lip injections, so). One vial of Fillerina's Grade 3 plumping gel will run you about $130, but it's arguably worth it.

Note: Make sure you drink a lot of water while using this product and wait about 10-15 minutes after application to put on any other lip products, such as lipstick or gloss.

Lancome Absolue Precious Cells Nourishing Lip Balm

My lips have a tendency to get super dry so having a moisturizing lip balm on deck is vital. While I'm a huge fan of Burt's Bees infamous lip products, sometimes I need that extra kick of nourishment, and that's exactly what Lancome's luxurious balm provides. Formulated with Pro-Xylane and vitamin E as well as acacia honey, beeswax, and rose-hip-seed oil, this product reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lips and mouth all while giving you a surge of plumping nourishment. This stuff smells and feels absolutely amazing, so amazing that you'll want to continuously apply it all day. However, I don't recommend constant reapplication because a) you don't need to, one application lasts for hours and b) it's got a serious price tag of $50. Admittedly a serious splurge, I recommend this product for people who suffer from serious dryness and women concerned about fine lines and wrinkles around their mouth area. After only one application you'll be able to see and feel a difference in your lips.

Lancome's Absolue Balm is available here and you can also find it in many major department stores as well as at Ulta.
